The placement cell is dedicated to advise the students in their career options and providing the latest information and summer training opportunities and employment vacancies. A major thrust of placement services is to constantly liaise with the business and industries to update the prospective employer of the skill levels of the students and secure commitments for campus placements. | Student counseling |
The College has set up a board of counselors consisting of faculty members in each department, each of whom are put in charge of a group of students. The counselors guide the students in all matters including personal matters. The counselors personally manage the overall progress of the students in their charge. Faculty members guide the students in a wider perspective in order to show consistent growth not only in their studies but also in other areas. This counseling extends even to contemporary matters that may agitate young minds, where the experience and knowledge of senior staff members would be useful to students. Any student can approach the counselors who handle them with utmost care. They work in co-ordination with parents in their Endeavour to bring out the best in the students. The primary focus is on ensuring completion of the University prescribed syllabus well before examination dates. Unit tests are conducted at least five times a semester on the University Examination Model so that students are gradually geared up to face the final examinations with ease and confidence.
The performance in their tests is closely monitored and progress reports are consistently dispatched to parents. Parents are encouraged to interact with faculty members to jointly supervise the progress of the students. Students who under performs are provided special attention. Every effort is taken by the management to ensure that students are provided with all inputs to score creditably in University Examinations. |
